my actual animations and models were made in 3D studio max, most of the models were made by editing standard polygons and shaping them into different shapes, i also used the lighting tools in my viking model to make a background image appear so i can shape the various shapes to make it resemble a viking, the textures in the background were actually a edited image which was made smaller in adobe photo shop, the image was the placed on a plane so i can have a bit of support creating the viking. for the ball animation i made the ball move by moving it a little bit in a few key frames, after finishing the animation i ran it to see if it will work and thankfully it does, in the karate legs model i added the bones to the skin and was able to make the legs move like they were on a human i have done well around this area and i think it is easy to understand, i think the areas i need to develop around is the whole UV mapping as i do not understand it fully, i think that is the only area i need help on.
discuss the aesthetic aspects of your work and highlight the strengths/area to develop
in the animations there is really not much to say about it, the colours in the file scratnor the viking05.max are basically bright and colourful, but i rather add full textures, the main reason is to add them to make them look presentable, in my other pieces of work the colours vary but i think this is not a major problem, i think i need to work on how to texture in future because i need to make the models to look realistic, a strength i can mention is that i can add basic colours to my work which is okay for the time being.
